Cockroach Control in Punjab
Cockroaches don't take a season off in Punjab — a warm kitchen, a damp drain and a few crumbs keep them going through summer heat and winter fog alike. We treat them where they actually live: inside cabinet hinges, appliance corners and floor drains.

What to knowTwo kinds cause most of the trouble. The small, light-brown German cockroach lives inside the kitchen itself — in cabinet hinges, behind the gas stove and chimney, in the motor space of the fridge and microwave, in the gaps of a modular kitchen. It breeds fast. The large reddish-brown American cockroach lives in drains, gully traps, sewer lines and basements, and comes up through floor drains and bathroom jaalis, especially in hot, humid weather.
Punjab's kitchens give both of them plenty. A home kitchen cooking parathas, dal and sabzi twice a day has oil, atta and warmth in every corner; a dhaba or tandoor kitchen runs hotter and longer; halwai shops and bakeries have sugar and syrup on every shelf. In apartment buildings and PGs, cockroaches move between flats along shared drain stacks and electrical shafts, so one untreated kitchen keeps supplying the rest. Old-city markets with back-to-back shops and shared drains have the same problem on a bigger scale.
Household sprays mostly hit the cockroaches you can see. The ones deep in cracks, and the egg cases they leave behind, survive — which is why the problem returns a few weeks after a spray. Gel bait works differently: it is placed in small dots right inside the hiding spots, cockroaches feed on it and carry it back, and it reaches the ones you never see. Drains and wet areas, where gel doesn't suit, are sprayed instead.

Signs you need cockroach control
- Cockroaches scattering when you switch on the kitchen light at night
- Tiny black droppings, like ground pepper, in drawers, cabinet corners and along hinges
- Brown, capsule-shaped egg cases stuck in corners, behind appliances or inside cupboards
- Large cockroaches coming up from bathroom drains, sinks or floor traps, especially after rain
- Cockroaches out in the daytime — usually a sign their hiding places are already crowded
Before the technician arrives
- Wash up and put away dishes, and leave the kitchen counters clear
- Stop using household cockroach sprays for a few days before the visit — they make cockroaches avoid the gel
- Keep the sink cabinet and the space under and behind the stove reachable
- Tell the technician where and at what time you see the most cockroaches
- For spray treatment, keep food, water and utensils in closed containers and children and pets out of the treated area
How The Treatment Is Done
Step by step- 1Find the hiding spots
The technician checks the kitchen, bathrooms, wet areas and store rooms — hinges, drawer runners, sink cabinets, appliance corners, drains — and looks at the entry points the cockroaches are using.
- 2Gel bait in the kitchen
Gel is placed in small dots in cracks, cabinet corners, drawers and appliance gaps where cockroaches hide. Usually there is no need to empty the kitchen.
- 3Spray where gel doesn't suit
Drains, under-sink areas, bathrooms, store rooms and other spots with heavy activity are sprayed. The safety steps are explained before the spraying begins.
- 4Kitchen and drain together
Where both are involved, as in many flats, PGs and restaurants, Kitchen & Drain Treatment combines gel in cabinets with spray in drains and under sinks, and checks the entry points.
- 5What to avoid afterwards
You are told what not to do after the treatment, such as spraying household insecticide over the gel or wiping the gel spots, and the technician tells you whether a follow-up visit is needed.

Cockroach Control — Questions
Asked before bookingDo I have to empty my kitchen for gel treatment?
Usually no. Gel goes in small dots inside cracks, hinges and appliance gaps rather than across your shelves, so most of the kitchen stays as it is. For spray treatment of drains and store rooms, keep food and utensils covered.
Gel, spray, or kitchen and drain — which should I book?
Mainly in kitchen cabinets — gel. Coming up from drains, bathrooms or store rooms — spray. Small ones in the cabinets and big ones from the drains — Kitchen & Drain Treatment. The technician will say on the visit if something else suits better.
Why am I seeing cockroaches after the treatment?
For a few days you may see more of them, as they come out of hiding after feeding on the gel. If activity carries on, tell us and the technician will advise whether a follow-up visit is needed.
Our flat is clean. Why do we still get cockroaches?
In apartment buildings they travel between flats through shared drain pipes and shafts, and arrive in grocery cartons and parcels. A clean kitchen helps, but treatment and closing the entry points are what break the cycle.
We run a dhaba. Can the treatment fit around our service hours?
Yes. Restaurant & Hotel Pest Management under Commercial Pest Control covers kitchens, store rooms and dining areas, including rodents and other insects, with the visit planned around your service hours.
When do I pay?
Only once the service is done — cash or UPI, whichever you prefer. If a price isn't shown on the website, the technician looks at the kitchen first and names the price before starting.
