Rodent Control in Punjab
Punjab grows, stores and trades a great deal of grain, and rats follow it — from mandi yards and rice shellers to the store room of an ordinary home. Our rodent control finds how they get in, deals with the ones already inside, and closes the gaps behind them.

What to knowThree kinds of rodent do most of the damage: the house mouse; the black or roof rat that runs along beams, wires and shelves; and the bigger burrowing rats, bandicoots among them, that dig under floors, drains and boundary walls. All of them gnaw constantly — cables, PVC pipes, gunny bags, cartons, door edges — and what they don't eat, they spoil with droppings and urine.
The farm calendar moves them. When wheat is cut in April and paddy in October–November and the fields are cleared, rats look for the nearest shelter and food: village houses, cattle sheds, grain markets such as Khanna's, godowns and shellers. Cold, foggy winters push them indoors again, towards warm kitchens, store rooms, false ceilings and even the engine of a parked car — rats chewing car wiring is a familiar winter complaint. In old-city bazaars, where shops share walls, lofts and drains, a rat problem in one shop soon becomes a problem for the whole row.
Rats are also wary of anything new, so a few traps put out at random rarely solve it. Proper rodent control means finding their runs and entry points, using bait, traps or both depending on the place, and then sealing the gaps — otherwise new rats simply take the place of the old ones.

Signs you need rodent control
- Droppings along walls, in cupboards, behind the fridge or in store rooms — tiny grain-like ones from mice, bigger ones from rats
- Gnawed door corners, cartons, gunny bags, plastic tanks or pipes
- Scratching and running sounds in the false ceiling, loft or roof at night
- Dark greasy smudges along a wall or beam where rats run every night
- Burrows near the boundary wall, drains, cattle shed or under paving
- Chewed cables, or a car that won't start because of damaged wiring
Before the technician arrives
- Note where you have seen droppings, gnaw marks or rats, and at what time
- Store grain, atta and pet food in closed metal or hard plastic containers
- Clear clutter from store rooms, lofts and under the stairs so the runs can be seen
- Don't put down your own poison before the visit — it makes rats bait-shy and the survey harder
- Tell the technician about children, pets or livestock on the property
How The Treatment Is Done
Step by step- 1Survey the runs
The technician looks for droppings, rub marks, gnaw marks and burrows to find the paths rats use and where they get in — drains, pipe openings, gaps under doors, vents.
- 2Bait stations along the paths
Bait is placed inside tamper-resistant stations along those paths, so it stays away from children and pets, and the placement plan is explained to you.
- 3Traps where poison isn't wanted
In kitchens, food areas, offices and shops, traps and glue boards are placed in the most active spots instead, and pick-up can be arranged if needed.
- 4Seal the way in
Rodent Proofing finds the gaps, holes, pipe openings and drain entries that let rats in and seals them, so new rodents cannot get inside.
- 5Advice to keep them out
You get advice on doors, drains and vents, and on storage — grain in metal or hard bins, sacks off the floor, garbage covered — so the place stops drawing new rats.

Rodent Control — Questions
Asked before bookingIs rat bait a risk to my children and pets?
Bait is kept inside tamper-resistant stations so it stays away from children and pets, and the technician explains where every station is placed. Where you don't want poison at all — a kitchen, a food shop, an office — traps and glue boards are used instead.
What if a rat dies inside the false ceiling or a wall?
It can happen with baiting. Tell the technician about false ceilings and hollow spaces when they survey; placement is planned with that in mind, and trapping may be suggested for those areas.
Can a shop or godown be rat-proofed?
Yes. Rodent Proofing finds and seals the gaps, holes, pipe openings and drain entries that let rats in. It works well once the rats already inside have been dealt with by baiting or trapping.
We run a rice sheller or a flour mill. Which service fits?
Factory & Warehouse Pest Management under Commercial Pest Control deals with rodents, crawling insects and stored-product pests — the site is surveyed, rodent stations are set and visits continue on contract. For insects in the stored grain itself, see Fumigation Services.
How many visits will it take?
It depends on the size of the problem and how many ways in there are. After the first visit you are told whether the stations or traps need checking again.
How do I book rodent control?
Online: pick the rodent service, a date and a slot, and say whether the place is a home, shop, godown or factory. A trained technician is assigned and you are told before the visit, unless you would rather choose one yourself. Payment comes after the service.
